Welcome! Thank you for your interest in our program. If you have questions or would like to learn more about declaring Nutritional Sciences or Pre-Dietetics, please consider making an appointment with the Student Services Coordinator.
If you have decided to declare Pre-dietetics or dietetics, follow this link to How to Declare/ Apply. Students admitted to the Pre-Dietetics program are assigned to the Student Services Coordinator. Students admitted to the Nutritional Sciences Program will be matched with a faculty advisor by the Student Services Coordinator. Both Nutritional Sciences and Pre-dietetics students can expect to receive individualized academic and career guidance.
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) Transitional Advising & Outreach Services (TAOS)
TAOS strives to help students explore programs within CALS. If you have questions or would like to learn more about the programs offered in CALS, please consider making an appointment with a CALS TAOS advisor.
Students currently enrolled at a different campuses
Students enrolled at campuses other than the University of Wisconsin-Madison are welcome to contact the Student Services Coordinator with any questions about transferring to the UW-Madison Pre-Dietetics programs. Unfortunately, our academic advisors are unable evaluate transfer credit or make course recommendations for prospective students. Students are encouraged to seek advising from their current institution and make use of the Transfer Information System (TIS) and/or the Transfer Equivalency Database (TED) found on the Transfer Admissions page.
High school students
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences hosts CALS Visit Days for high school students and their families to provide prospective students with an opportunity to tour campus, meet with faculty from their department of interest, and learn more about the admissions process. Admitted students are able to meet one-on-one with an academic advisor during their Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) session before their first semester begins.
