Job Description
The Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking inspired candidates to join our dynamic instructional team for a position of Instructor in Human Nutrition beginning July, 2021. This is a renewable 12-month, full-time, non-tenure track position with full benefits. Instructors are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and a commitment to creating a climate of inclusiveness that acknowledges and respects the diversity of our students. The primary teaching assignment for this position is a widely popular introductory human nutrition course for non-majors. This course is taught both in-person and online during the academic year semesters and online during summer semesters. In addition, a nutrition majors’ introductory nutrition course is taught online during summer semesters. We are searching for an exceptional instructor with shared values and passion in nutrition science and education innovative efforts.
Qualifications
A minimum of an M.S. degree in Nutrition or a closely related field is required at the time instruction begins on September 8, 2021. In addition, the successful applicant can provide evidence of excellence in teaching undergraduate students both in person and online, in developing, implementing and assessing innovative teaching modalities, in written and oral communication skills, and in interpersonal skills.
