Mitsuko Inano Kellum Scholarship

Mitsuko Inano Kellam was born in Japan and left her village not long after WWII was over. She originally settled in the San Francisco area, but moved to Madison to complete her PhD. She earned her doctorate in Nutritional Sciences in 1972 from UW-Madison. She taught Nutritional Science at Texas Tech and then at Arkansas.

Eligibility Criteria

Available to Nutritional Sciences students in CALS. Recipients must have financial need, must maintain a B average, and preference is to be given to international students. Students will be in their junior or senior year or be incoming graduate students. Support may be used 1) to assist students in completing their required internships, 2) to provide graduate awards, 3) to provide scholarship support for students, and 4) to assist students in such other specific areas as may be determined by the Nutritional Sciences Department Chair when considering the circumstances at the time.
