About Us:
Above Diabetes LLC is an accredited online diabetes education practice committed to providing exceptional diabetes education to all individuals. As we expand our reach, we are seeking a dedicated PRN dietitian with expertise in weight loss and type 2 diabetes education, preferably with or working toward CDCES certification.
Job Description:
We are searching for a compassionate and professional dietitian proficient in weight loss and type 2 diabetes education to join our dynamic team. This remote position offers flexible hours under a 1099 contract. Initially, the workload will be minimal, with opportunities for growth as our organization expands.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual consultations with clients seeking weight loss and type 2 diabetes education.
- Provide diabetes education/support, intensive nutrition counseling, and weight management education/support to members through motivational interviewing.
- Offer medication management and care for diabetes and related comorbidities.
- Provide remote patient monitoring for devices and support behavior change among patients.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
- Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) registration.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in weight loss and type 2 diabetes education.
- CDCES certification preferred, or willingness to work toward certification.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create informative and engaging articles.
- Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to professional development.
- Licensed in the state of UTAH, with eligibility to practice as a dietitian.
- Bonus if licensed in TEXAS and additional States.
