Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty Position for Fall 2018 at San Diego State University

    The School of Exercise and Nutritional Sciences at San Diego State University is searching for a full-time (10-month) tenure-track faculty member in the area of behavioral nutrition. This position will be at the Assistant Professor rank and will begin August 2018. An earned academic doctorate (Ph.D. preferred) in nutrition is required. Research expertise on ingestive behavior or the impact of behavioral interventions or the environment on dietary intake or risk factors for chronic diseases that is complementary to research interests of existing faculty in the School and College of Health and Human Services is desirable. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate courses in promotion of healthy eating and physical activity, community nutrition or medical nutrition therapy. Previous teaching experience and registration as a dietitian are desirable.

     

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:  Engage in research leading to peer-reviewed publications and seek external funding to support and promote research. Mentor and supervise master’s student’s research projects. Engage in School, University, community, and professional services.

     

    SALARY:  Commensurate with experience.
