Dietitian- Full time:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Completes nutritionally relevant sections of RAI (MDS, triggers, CAA’s) for those residents newly admitted, quarterly and annually.
- Assesses residents who are Nutritional at Risk and intervenes.
- Monitors residents on tube feeding for appropriateness and documents.
- Works as a team with Certified Dietary Manager to assure residents’ nutritional needs are being met within budget.
- Performs duties of the Certified Dietary Manager in their absence.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND/OR TRAINING
- Registered dietitian or registration eligible. If registration eligible, must receive registration within 6 months of hire.
- A minimum of 2 years clinical experience and/or training in a related setting desirable.
- Consistently demonstrates a solid knowledge of therapeutic diets and clinical nutrition with the ability to make appropriate nutrition assessments and diet order recommendations.
- Has deep knowledge of HSS132/OBRA and HFS 83 relating to resident nutritional care, and the USDA Food Code.
