My name is Celeste Kim and I am a current undergraduate student in the Dietetics program! Outside of classes, I am the current Executive Director of Slow Food UW, an undergraduate representative on the Department on Nutritional Sciences: Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity Committee, and a Dietetics Associate at SSM Health.
In my eyes, food is a way to express love and care. I pursued a career in nutrition and dietetics to be able to show my passion towards promoting other’s wellbeing through food. I wish to help and educate others and facilitate supportive, welcoming, and inclusive environments through nutrition.
I am incredibly grateful and appreciate to receive the Karen Spector award for my class. It is incredibly affirming to know that my passion and love for this program is reaching and inspiring others around me. I am motivated to continue to push myself to my fullest potential with the aid and confidence I have gained from receiving this award!
